The Best Kind of Day
Life is full of days that are fabulous, as well as plenty of days that really stink. The ups and downs are all part of life. The Best Kind of Day helps to teach kids that both kinds of days are going to come, and that is okay because we can always look forward to the good. There will be many things in life that we can’t control, such as sunshine or rain, however how we treat others is always in our control, and that is what God looks for in a good day.
I wrote The Best Kind of Day because I wanted my kids to see that it is the simple acts of kindness that make or break our days. It is kindness that really shapes our lives. Sometimes what we dream of becoming or accomplishing in life includes grand things. But I believe that more important than any grand accomplishments is the simple everyday way we treat others that says the most about who we are, and what we have become. At the end of the day, in rain or sunshine, choosing to be kind will fill our lives with joy and warmth.
